Polebox
The lamppost becomes a socket.
Polebox uses the lighting network that is already there to create charging points without digging up the road.

Why it works
Efficient, effective, everywhere.
Efficient
Designed to reduce installation costs by up to 60% compared with standard charging posts, moving the spend from civil works to the device.
Effective
Low negative externalities and minimal impact on the existing infrastructure: the road stays as it is.
Everywhere
On-street parking, public areas and company car parks: wherever there is a lamppost.
Versatility
It fits the pole that’s there.
A design made to adapt: the same Polebox mounts on circular or polygonal poles, slim or sturdy, in steel or wood.
How it works
Five elements. Nothing to rebuild.
Electrical cabinet
A new cable runs from the panel to the lampposts through existing ducts. A smart system shares out energy according to grid limits and the cars plugged in.
Charging point
Mounted on the lamppost. It meters consumption and talks to the user interface.
Type 2 connector
Each vehicle plugs in with its own cable: the Type 2 standard covers every electric car sold in Europe.
User interface
The driver starts charging by scanning the QR code on the display or tapping the phone on the NFC reader. The same interface shows the progress and takes payment at the end of the session.
Network
Up to ten charging points per electrical cabinet, managed as a single balanced network.
Software
The network runs itself.
Dynamic balancing
Available power is shared across connected cars without exceeding the limits of the cabinet.
On-board metering
Every point measures the energy delivered: drivers pay for exactly what they drew.
Remote monitoring
Status, consumption and availability of every outlet, in real time.
Unlock from your phone
Scan the QR code on the charging point’s display with your phone, or tap the phone on the NFC reader. No cards to hand out.
Integrated payment
The session ends and is paid for on the same screen.
Extendable network
Add up to 10 points on the same cabinet, for as long as there is power available.
